We spent the entire day at Kew Gardens and saw every possible beautiful corner, glass house and feature imaginable. It lives up to its reputation and is inspiring in its mission to study and conserve the world's plants. Gigantic trees, some planted in mid-1700's dominate much of the landscape but the glass houses are truly amazing with a variety of plants from around the world.
I probably took 200 pictures of plants and, in looking them over while on the 50 minute tube ride home, was excited to add some to the blog.
Unfortunately, between the station and our apartment, my oyster card (used for getting in and out of the station) and my camera were taken from my backpack. First time ever for Bill and I. We've never had anything taken before. Really disappointing.
Anyway, Bill took a few pictures (he relies on me) so you'll get a tiny idea of the garden.
Oh, I'm sooooo sad for you!
